This is the first complete translation of Sahih Al-Bukhari, comprising all of its 7563 Hadiths. The book has a detailed commentary on Hadiths, with an introduction to the Hadith studies in each volume, along with notes challenging the negative projections of the Hadith by the Orientalists. The work has also Quranic and other references.The translation's language is very inclusive, presenting the life and teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him) as the source of the human enlightenment and refinement, rooted in mercy and justice. With extensive notes and studies on the nature and importance of the Sunna, the translation has been done under a close expert supervision. The present translation of Sahih Al-Bukhari in Italian has been undertaken as part of Tawasul’s Muslim Classics Project that involves the Italian translation of Sahih Muslim and other Islamic classics.

In 6 volumes, with around 4000 pages and 3000 total notes, this is the first complete translation of Sahih Muslim in Italian, comprising all of its Hadiths, arranged in its 54 books. The book has a detailed commentary on Hadiths, with an introduction to the Hadith studies in each volume, along with notes challenging the negative projections of the Hadith by the Orientalists. The work has also Quranic and other references. The Sahih Muslim of Imam Muslim ibn Hajjaj Al-Qushayrī is universally considered by majority of the Muslim scholars as one of the most authentic collections of the sayings of the Prophet (pbuh) after Imam Muhammad Ismail Bukhari's Sahih Al-Bukhari. Sahih Muslim is a treasure of history for anyone interested in studying the way of life and even the life history of the Prophet (pbuh). With 54 books, containing 3033 Hadiths, without counting the repeated Hadiths, it vividly illustrates the Prophet's life, his sayings about a wide range of issues such as faith (Iman), rules and recommendations related to human interactions and various other Islamic rules, thus covering almost all aspects of a Muslim's life.

In quest’opera sono pubblicati i primi tre libri del Sahih Bukhari, la collezione dei detti e delle azioni del Profeta Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) giudicati autentici dagli studiosi. I primi tre libri della raccolta, intitolati rispettivamente Il libro della rivelazione (Kitab al-Wahy), Il libro della fede (Kitab al-Iman) ed Il libro della conoscenza (Kitab al-Ilm) costituiscono un’introduzione all’Islam, alla storia della rivelazione ed ai principi della fede. Ognuno dei libri è poi accompagnato da un ricco apparato di note che rimandano di volta in volta ai versetti del Corano, alle tradizioni del Profeta (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) raccolte in altri libri ed agli episodi della storia islamica. 

Kitab al-Sawm (Il libro del digiuno)- Sahih al-Bukhari- Imam Muhammad al-Bukhari- Traduzione italiana a cura di Sabrina Lei

 

Il Kitab al-Sawm, tradotto in italiano come il Libro del Digiuno, riporta una serie di Tradizioni del Profeta Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) relative alla pratica cultuale del digiuno così come era praticato dal Profeta e dai Compagni con riferimenti non solo al sacro mese del Ramadan ma anche ad altre occasioni quali il Giorno di Arafah o di Ashura ed alla pratica del digiuno volontario. Gli Hadith contenuti in questa raccolta tratta dal Sahih Bukhari costituiscono un riferimento fondamentale per il musulmano che intenda conformare le proprie pratiche cultuali sia alla forma che allo spirito della Sunna del Profeta Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). Il testo è poi accompagnato da un apparato di note chiarificatrici di alcune espressioni arabe e di spiegazioni tratte dalle diverse scuole di giurisprudenza islamica. 

Kitab al-Qadr (Il libro del destino) - Imam Muhammad Al-Bukhari e Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj - Traduzione a cura di Sabrina Lei

Il Kitab ul-Qadr, qui tradotto come Il Libro del Destino, è parte della raccolta Sahih Bukhari e Sahih Muslim, che riporta gli Hadith del Profeta (pbsl) relativi ad un tema fondamentale nella religione islamica ossia la nozione di destino (Qadar), termine che è stato variamente interpretato e molto spesso equivocato sia in ambito islamico che non. In questo testo vengono riportati in traduzione italiana sia gli Hadith presenti nella racconta dell’Imam Bukhari che in quella dell’Imam Muslim. La traduzione è poi arricchita da un corposo apparato di note esplicative per accompagnare il lettore nella lettura e comprensione dei passi più complessi. 

Kitab al-Tawhid (Il libro del puro monoteismo) - Sahih al-Bukhari- Imam Muhammad al-Bukhari- Traduzione italiana a cura di Sabrina Lei

Il Kitab al-Tawhid è parte della raccolta Sahih Bukhari e riporta gli Hadith del Profeta (pbsl) relativi al monoteismo islamico, dalla natura degli attributi divini a quella del rapporto tra Dio e creature secondo gli insegnamenti del Corano. Alla fine del testo sono riportate due appendici relative rispettivamente alla nozione di Qadar ed alla traduzione della Al-ʻAqīdah al-Ṭaḥāwīyah del teologo e giurista hanafita Abu Ja'far Ahmad at-Tahawi, in cui vengono esposti gli articoli principali della professione di fede islamica. La traduzione della Aqīdah è accompagnata da un apparato di note in cui sono riportate delle citazioni tratte rispettivamente dal al-Fiqh al-Akbar dell’Imam Abu Hanifa e dalla Aqeedah alWasitiyyah dell’Imam Ibn Taymiyyah per permettere al lettore di confrontare la posizione di altri insigni studiosi musulmani su determinati argomenti.
